Chris Jones, DT, Bowling Green

As most knowledgeable football fans know players from the small but “Mighty MAC” fills out many of the roster spots on NFL teams.  This year looks to be no exception.  One player in particular, an explosive defensive tackle Chris Jones from Bowling Green University, looks to continue the trend and make his way on to a team.

Chris is not that tall at 6’2″, but stout, hovering around 300 lbs.  Playing in all 13 games his freshman year he more than held his own recording 29 tackles.  Where he really started to make is mark was in his sophomore year, starting all 12 games, 39 tackles, 11 for loss with 6 sacks.  Those stats garnered Chris 3rd team All MAC and giving him a platform for his junior year and he did not disappoint.

2011 and 2012 Chris exploded earning First-Team All Mac and earning MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 with 42 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and 19 tackles for loss.  At one point 2012 Chris recorded a sack in 8 straight games.  Chris has consistently improved through his 4 year career at Bowling Green and will look to make an impact at the next level.
